Simple Goodness Sisters Campaign

In just two hours, I crafted a press release announcing the Simple Goodness Sisters’ upcoming recipe book. The challenge required me to apply inverted pyramid storytelling, AP style, and newsworthy angles while balancing the book announcement with their compelling brand story. I also developed engaging quotes and a professional boilerplate to enhance credibility. This assignment tested my ability to write quickly, strategically, and persuasively under a tight deadline.

In another assignment for the same story, I had to craft a compelling, individualized, media pitch for the Simple Goodness Sisters’ recipe book launch, building on my previous press release. Acting as their marketing agency, I developed a concise, persuasive four-paragraph pitch to grab a reporter’s attention and convince them to cover the story. The pitch highlighted the book’s newsworthy elements, the sisters’ unique brand story, and why their launch deserved media coverage.

Finally, I needed to make a media list with five different reporters or media people who could potentially cover this story.
