As a Public Relations Intern for Premier Travel Media, I support three national publications (Student Travel Planning Guide, Leisure Group Travel, Destination Film Guide) by conducting strategic outreach to increase visibility and engagement. My work includes researching target audiences, identifying relevant Facebook groups, and writing press releases tailored to each publication’s mission and voice.

Competitor Analysis for Leisure Group Travel

As part of a broader competitive review for Leisure Group Travel, I conducted an in-depth analysis of The Group Travel Leader, Inc., one of the leading publications in the group travel industry. This project examined how GTL approaches PR, marketing, audience engagement, and advertiser support to identify strategic opportunities for LGT.

My analysis evaluated how they promote new issues and connect with their audience. I also looked at their lead generation tactics, advertiser offerings, brand tone, and storytelling style.

My final recommendations highlighted ways LGT could expand multimedia content, introduce light engagement features, elevate advertiser storytelling, and streamline media kit access. This analysis showcases my ability to evaluate industry competitors and translate insights into actionable strategy.

Media list for Leisure Group Travel

For this project, I researched, identified, and compiled a targeted media contact list to expand Leisure Group Travel’s traditional press outreach. The goal was to increase visibility for the brand’s Industry Forecast publication by connecting with outlets whose audiences align with group travel planners.

I sourced 15 high-quality contacts across industry associations, travel publications, bloggers, journalists, membership organizations, and online communities. Each contact included strategic notes on potential collaboration opportunities (newsletter features, backlinks, content sharing, etc.), creating a foundation for outreach that can boost brand awareness, drive downloads and subscriptions, support advertiser goals, and open doors for future partnerships.

Press Release for Destination Film Guide

As part of a launch campaign for Destination Film Guide 2025, I reviewed the upcoming issue and drafted a press release announcing the magazine’s release, highlighting its value to professionals in the North American film industry.

I also wrote tailored Facebook and LinkedIn posts to promote the guide across Destination Film Guide’s social channels, with messaging designed to boost early engagement and long-term visibility.

Outreach Messages for Student Travel Planning Guide

As part of a media outreach initiative for the Student Travel Planning Guide 2025, I researched and evaluated leading educational organizations to identify alignment with our publication’s mission and audience. I then drafted tailored outreach emails for each organization—such as Edutopia, Education Week, and the National Science Teaching Association—encouraging them to share the guide through their communication channels, including newsletters, social media, and website resources. This project strengthened my ability to adapt messaging for different stakeholders and align outreach strategies with organizational goals.
